Tigers @ White Sox
Today was Jackie Robinson day so every player all across the major leagues was wearing number 42 in honor of Jackie Robinson.  The White Sox were also wearing 1972 throwback uniforms from when the team's primary color was red. In the first inning both pitchers, Chris Sale for the Sox and Rick Porcello for the Tigers, managed to end their first innings with very few pitches being thrown.  But in the second, Chris Sale had to throw a lot of pitches and was at a hundred pitches by inning five.  The White Sox continually jumped on the first pitch and Porcello's sinker got better as the game went on. The Sox made a great effort in the bottom of the ninth to make a comeback but it was too little too late. In the end, the Tigers made some clutch hits, played great defense, especially Cabrera at third, and came out with a solid win to take back first place in the central.
