Home opener with Jake Peavy taking the mound! Peavy was lights out phenomenal in this game. Peavy had only given up 1 hit through six when he walked Cabrera and then gave up a two run shot to Delmon Young to bring the game within one run. I personally love Jake Peavy's incredible competitive fire. Having pitched so well, they took him out after the home run and he was cussing up a storm as he left the mound. The guy is a gamer. We added a couple of insurance runs in the bottom half of the eighth but didn't need them because the bullpen was fantastic again.
